No compression
No compression
hey, i was doing a compression test today on a 88 gxl i jus bought and the trailing rotor had 0 compression. Is it possible to have 0 compression and if so do you guys know what might be causing it...? thanx in advance. Oh and i did the poor mans test also and i couldnt hear shiat. so yah.....
if you get zero compression all around, and no poofs or noise out, of that rotor, then apex seal failure is allmost 100%, the motor is blown, sorry to give the bad news if you didnt see it coming...
pump a few squirts of MMO in both leading plug holes and do the unflooding procedure to try and fire it up. it is possible the seals are just sticking so running the engine is the only possible method of freeing them up.
