nitrous question...

I was wondering what kind of mods you should have to use a nitrous oxide shot? of about 50 or 60? I have a cylinder filter..

a race pipe and dual exhaust.

Also, for just a stock car, is it cool to use an S-afc? like would it help?

Thanks for any advice you can provide...

Evan

What's the use of an S-AFC with stock injectors that the ECU is already using the potential of? Pretty much nothing Now, say if you get some larger injectors, bigger fuel pump, and so forth to go along with your nitrous, then it'd be understandable, but for a stock car there's no need. Get a wet setup and make sure you get a better pump so you can handle the extra gas that the wet system will be using.

also.....This is a dumb question but i've never gotten an answer....With a bigger fuel pump does it mean that your MPG will go down? because it will always be pumpin more gas? or does a bigger fuel pump just sit there and wait until alot of fuel is needed then its like "lets pump faster" or whats the dilly

Provided the fuel pressure remains constant, and the injector's fire at the same rate, MPG will remain the same. However, your fpr may not be able to cope with the extra fuel at idle (hence the TII's having a voltage drop at idle and low load), and will cause the engine to run rich, and thus use more fuel. A bigger fuel pump just means the fuel will be there should the engine need it, as opposed to the engine using more fuel than the pump can provide and having the pressure drop... and running lean... and then we all know what happens.

As for nitrous... depends on your total mods and plans. Tell me EVERYTHING you have done and what you want to eventually achieve. Then I can tell you all you need to know.
