I have an S4 and had a small exhuast leak where the precats connected to eachother. The pipe was rusted enough that it made a small hole, but anyways my idle was fine back then.

I had a leak after the manifold, at the first pre-cat. Idle was good.

I wouldn't think the series would make any difference.

lol sonic,

i have a leak right somewhere by my turbo or downpipe. can't diagnose it. Start the car and it has that really annoying noise, crappy exhaust leak. Gets really loud at 2-4 and then i can't hear it anymore. Ever since it developed it feels like my car is loosing power once boost hits. like not enough kick in the pants there anymore. getting the full exhaust replaced with 3inch mandrel bent single from the engine to a reactive muffler

NO

Exhaust leak can not affect idle.

Intake leak can. Bad TPS can. Clogged filter and/or AFM can. etc etc......

I had MASSIVE exhaust leaks (exhaust manifold AND turbo were cracked like a ****) and the idle was perfect. TID cracked, or filter was slightly clogged, or the TPS out of specs, and the idle would bounce a bit (not much though....)
