Newb with cooling questions.

When I first got the car (2 weeks ago) it would buzz dramatically with the add coolent light on. Warm up. then go away. now it just does it whenever it feels like it.... how do i fix this? by the way, its not low on coolent. i even put a little in the over flow bottle because it was dry in there. still having my problem...

Air in system? If "bleed plug" rings a bell, you probably alread did this. Did you try warming up the car with the rad cap off - are there bubbles?

You said the the cooling system is topped up, but is the level changing?

I had that problem when I first got mine. Since my was sitting, I think, there was gunk on the coolant sensor. I say this because I took mine out cleaned it off and put it back in... No more buzz... well until I was dumb and coolant got low lol

yea, it's right in the middle. it's a plastic hex bolt or whatever. honestly, i didn't even know what it was on mine at first becuase the head had broken off and left the rest in, and so i thought it was just a molding thing till i got the rest out

This thread has been very helpful. I am having a similar problem. Among other things, I shall try to clean the sensor... is electronic contact cleaner good for this purpose?
