New PWM Fan Control High Capacity 85 amp!

Since the Spal PWM now specifically excludes use on Taurus fans and Mark VIII fans BY NAME, these guys have caught my attention.

They talk a good game.

Neat. I can't comment since I have not tried it. I'm done with fancy PWM controllers as my $5 relay works fine.

you sure he is still in business? my friend recommended it to me a few years ago and when i went to buy it he never responded back to me and there were rumors of him being out of business.
on another note, my friend has one in his turbo mustang and it does work very well with no issues on his lincoln fan.

Pretty sure he is still in business.

http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...09/476894.html

He has a reputation for slow shipping and a reputation for not answering emails asking why it is taking so long to ship.

He also has a rep for a fantastic product and great tech support once you get the unit.

I am getting one, probably the 50 amp. I can't imagine why you would need the 85 amp.

The only thin I didn't like about that fan control is the only temp probe available is an external fan probe. You can't use an internal sensor, and that freaks me out a bit.

Yes, that seems to be the only downside, but if you read what he has to say about HIS probe it might be ok.

If I could find someone else who has used it, who has done a few track days and 20k street miles on it, and hell, a picture of it installed, I might feel better.

Back when I was looking at the Spal PWM and the Flexolite controller I found lots of people with issues on the other car forums.

On the DC Controller, I have found no one with a complaint. Lots of jeep guys offroading and mustang guys on those boards.

So you're assuming approval from silence?

It does look like an interesting unit, get it and let us know.

No,I didn't express myself well in that post, so let me restate. I found lots of owners of the unit that had been using them under various applications with great results. They were recommending them to other members of those forums. I just didn't find anyone who was dissatisfied, or had problems.

Lots of complaints of slow shipping. Lots of praise about great technical support.

It sits on the shelf gathering dust. After 1.5 years of trying to make it work properly, I finally gave up and reinstalled the fan relay. I had wasted so much time on the stupid FAN-PWM and it got to the point where I was driving around staring at the temperature gauge. The thing is isn't designed correctly.
