Needed Left driver side door handle 1987 GXL FC rx7

Need to buy a left door handle for our 1987 rx7 GXL FC. I’m looking for the color of the door handle to be light blue or maybe the color is silver.

Thanks,
Harold

I'd suggest looking on Ebay. That's where I had to get my last one. Before that I had gotten lucky and found them in a local junkyard, but FC's rarely show up in the junkyard anymore. Only one of the used ones I've bought over the years was the right color so I would just plan to paint it yourself to match.

I only ever remember seeing the complete door handle. Mazdatrix actually still has white and black ones. All other colors look to be NLA.

Looks like hes sold out but I wonder if we ask maybe he will make a few more. I would also like to get a pair to fix my passanger side door.

Ahh, makes sense now. It is someone making and selling them. I knew I had only seen the whole assembly from Mazda. These aren't cheap but hopefully being milled and not cast they would be the last set a person buys. I've had my car since '96 and I bet I've been through at least 5 driver's side door handles and close to that my passenger side ones. Plus a couple of ones I fixed with JB weld and got a year or so out of. I'm tempted to get a set when they are available again.

That's a lot of money considering that you can buy a new door handle from Mazdatrix for $139 (https://mazdatrix.com/product/door-h...left-white-wy/).

it will break again eventually down the road since their not made of good metal.
darn it is expensive. I thought it was for the pair. Also its good metal which is why its expensive. If was a cheaper metal then it might be cheaper. If you only need one i think its worth it. Ill use this for my driver side. I hate going around the passanger side. To get in

True but if I read the description right that is for a pair. So $145 does both doors.

Well, if it's for a pair than that makes the price look a bit more attractive. So, how long will these replacements last? According to my data, the original door handles seem to last a long time. My RX7 maintenance log indicates that I replaced my LHS door handle in Aug 1997 and again in Mar 2017. So, I bought the car in 1990, that's first replacement after 7 years and again after about 19-1/2 years.

Maybe he will. I have one spare left, but I need to paint it as it's from a silver car.

I ended up buying a set off Ebay. Partially because I was too lazy to paint my silver one and also because I couldn't find where I had a broken door handle to use with the inserts if I bought a set. The one that was on my car had the housing broken as well.

Looks good! Once it's installed, let us know what the fitment is like. I repaired the inside of my door handle years ago (JB Weld and sheet steel, 8 years and going strong) but don't expect it to last forever
