so i just bought this car (86 rx7 gxl) and the driver door does not open from the outside. the inside handle works just fine. so i pulled the door panel off and found
a piece of the handle is broken. easy enough i pulled the 2 nuts off the back. now the handle is loose. now for my question, how do i get the handle out to replace it? is there a trick? the rods have c-clips on them i know i need to take those off. what else do i need to do? thanks for any help

 

once u disconnect the rods from it and the mounting nuts/bolts removed, u may have to lift up on the handle, wiggle, twist, turn, etc. to get it to come out of the door. never delt with fc so not really sure. shouldn't be that difficult to figure out tho.
