here like this, the dealer told me that how they went when I bought new badges. I cut the little mazda off the rx7 sticker, didnt like the looks of it being it says mazda on the right side.

Ok just went out and measured here you go From the right edge of the 3rd brake light, the edge of the M is 13.25"/ From the left edge of the 3rd brake light, the top edge of the 7 is 1'3/8" and 1" from the lights to the bottom of the badges!
Hope this helps

DO IT YOURSELF! It's not that hard man, save you some cash. Take it to a car audio shop or something. We charged this guy $35 to debadge and rebadge his 350z as a Fairlady. Took us about an hour. I'm sure another shop would do the same.

I went to the dealership to see if they could do it and they were busy. I was directed to a body shop and i talked to the guy there and showed him the emblems. He said not to drill holes for my emblems and just cut off the studs and glue it real good then just stick it on the back of the car. Reason for it was because he said rust would probly start in that area if i did it. But i think im just gonna go with how the emblems are made and drill holes. What do you think?

seeing as this is almost current and you never got an answer, I'd say do glue. the body shop guy is right, unless you seal carefully with grommets, paint or primer, and other sealer like RTV then it would probably start rusting.
I plan on getting new emblems/badges soon, but I want to see if the new Mazda 'M' would work nicely or not. I really like it, finding good locations for it is the trick... anyone have pics?
