Need some identification help...

There are two small pieces on the lower intake of the 2nd gen, I took them off an intake that is getting polished and wasn't sure what they are. One looks to be an EGR valve possibly, anyone mind helping me out?

By the way, I can upload a picture I took if anyone needs it.

Thanks,
Scott

It would help if you visited http://www.iluvmyrx7.com and downloaded the Fuel section and then directed us to the page that shows you those items. Look for the section that deals with *Bac*.

This is wrong. The thermo valve is located on the back of the throttle body. It's purpose is to deny vacuum to the secondary throttle plates until the engine has warmed up.

The valve in the picture above is the cold start assist valve.

You've both correctly identified the part, but you've both got the name wrong!

It's the sub-zero starting assist valve.

So, they are...

LEFT- Bypass Air Control Valve

RIGHT- Sub-zero Starting Assist Valve

Correct?

Thanks,
Scott
