Need some help with idle
I got everything working right thus far. I get a kick up to 3200 RPMS on cold start and then drops down to about 1200-1500 and sits, once its warm if I go out and kinda push in the tps plunger screw a little it will idle down to 750, but then once it drops back down after some revving it will go back down to 1500 or so and doesn't naturally go back down to 750. Also it kicks up RPMS for the clutch fan, I would assume since its a power draw its natural?
So anyone have any ideas about the TPS kinda seeming sticky? Its been inoperable for quite a bit I wondered if maybe some electronic safe lubricant might be needed? Or if maybe the TPS isn't adjusted proper?
Someone with experience please help me.
O2 sensor is new, thermo wax is new, no error codes are coming up. I had a error code 9 but thats fixed.

I've got a similar problem on my 88 tII. The idle doesn't always "settle" where I set it. Seems to have a variation of around 400rpm. It isn't "bumpy" though. Wherever it may settle, it stays rock-solid. My problem isn't with the TPS though, I'm convinced that the linkage with the screw on it (where you calibrate the TPS) is dicked up. it seems like the set screw/ spring combination is real loose and has some play in it. I've even tried removing this screw and spring and replacing them with another used part, but it still seems loose. I'm going to try another TB soon. I hope this is worth something to you. Good luck.

I just wanna know why it is that no one else has any info, but 91 people have looked at the s4 mudflaps on s5 post I had earlier. and 6 people replied to that.
I replied to the mud flaps, so I guess I'll reply to this one.
First make certain it's off the fast idle cam, then jump the test connector to be certain the throttle valves are in the correct position. This will take the electronics out and the idle should be around 700/800. If not I'd adjust the throttle plates to get the idle in that range, then adjust the TPS afterwards to have to correct setting. Start at 1k ohms, but use the light method to fine tune. If the idle is low, you can always adjust the BAC valve unless it's a J spec, then you'll need to adjust the throttle plates again.
It's a start!

WOW for all my knowledge learned so far... I still have not figured out how to adjust the TPS or jump the test connector. And I don't know how to make sure its off the fast idle cam. I am a newb for the fine tuning, I mean sure I rebuilt all this junk, but its the first time it has ever run so now I have much more to learn and this is just the beginning so any and lotsa help would be appreciated.

plan for tomorrow is to go through and check everything possible... I am still unsure as to how to check the TPS high and low for proper Ohm because I have a multimeter with enormous test connections, and I think the TPS needs to be plugged in for testing... yes??? someone?
