Need help with the thing at the bottom of the injector!

Well I was taking out an injector on my 88 S4 TII and broke the part that the injector slides into. Its made of some sort of fiberglass about 2" long and looks like some sort of difuser that the injector slides into.

Do you know the part I am speaking of? Is there a name for it?

This boy needs to know so I can get a new one!

Thanks guys

Its a diffuser, mazdatrix sells them. www.mazdatrix.com

More specifically:
http://www.mazdatrix.com/c-6.htm

Looks like a secondary, about $20 each.

I believe you got the name right the first time. Injector diffuser. No idea on a part number, but I can almost wager money that they are expensive as hell from the dealer.

EDIT: Less than I would have thought.

Lets say the injector diffuser was gone/removed. Would there be a difference in fuel atomization?

Just reinstall it; don't buy a new one. The differences in atomization are negligible on the secondaries.
