NEED help, split air pipe fell off

NEED help

87 NA this thing a thin pipe from the cat to somewhere in the engine area(passenger side) fell off bad or good?
so i just went to the muffler shop and welded the hole up from the CAT BAD OR GOOD

shouldn't that go to the air pump?
it will be OK but I don't think the cat will run as hot, or effectively.

you should have it for your cat to work to its full catalytic convertability. it should be connected to the check valve circled in the pic.

Honestly have you ever known pipes falling off to be a good sign? Anyways, it works your check valve. We all like check valves =]

On an 87 N/A that tube controly the aux ports too correct? Thats not good at all, unless you like lossing top end hp

you also need that pipe for ur N/A to open up the 5th and 6th ports, unless you run the tube taking the pressure to open them into something else, like the ACV relief line

I thought that if take your air pump off while still you still have your cat on, you would melt the car and clog it up.
