Need help a.s.a.p. on flooding of a 89n/a

I having a problem with me new 89n/a which i bought saturday.it runs fine while driving but if u park it and turn it off it floods.i checked the plugs to see if the coolant seals were good there fine so its not an engine problem.its a fuel problem which has to do with either the fuel filter or fuel pump.i drove it down the street and it choked like it wasn,t getting any fuel and when i tried to start it it just flooded.could it be that the fuel pump is malfuctioning or is it a clogged fuel filter its a gtu based model and i heard the 89 series had flooding problems so if anyone can help me please get back to me a.s.a.p. thanks.

Sounds like your injectors need to be cleaned or replaced.
All Rotary engines have problems with flooding not just the 89 series.

Flooding is caused my leaky injectors, low compression.

Please read the FAQ for FC found at the top of this section for un-flooding help.

And your description of your flooding will suggest that the injectors are dirty and or low compression

It seems like more and more of us are having problems AFTER cleaning then we did before.

With the exception of the Chevron Techroline injection cleaner, 99% of the pour in injection cleaners are garbage and waste of money, and will often make the situation worse.

Even the Chevron Stuff needs to be run at 200% to 300% more than recommended to show any cleaning what so ever.

If the injectors are leaking (as bad as described in this thread) then the only thing that will help is true cleaning, where the injectors are sent out, ultra sonicly and fluid/flow cleaned, and balanced.

Often the cheaper (read crappier) injection cleaners will also overheat or clog the O2 sensor as well. This can be seen in cars that have no vac leaks, but have poor idle, and run great at WOT.

So i guess the only way to get rid of the problem is to have the injectors properly clean and do i have to change the o2 sensor also.

Im sorry, I should have clarified, I also was referring to professional cleaning. I sent my injectors to RC as did a friend. Then there was Amurs post on the subject as well. Ive been meaning to contact them to pick up more information because they have mentioned certain injectors may get damaged from the cleaning process.

I live in williamsburg down the street from busch gardens.can u tell me if i gotta replace the o2 sensor or can it be cleaned since i used the cheap injector cleaner and now it seems to have aggravated the 02 sensor and it runs like **** but i put in the cleaner yesterday and it ran fine until the cleaner kicked in and now it runs like crap and the exhaust manifold is overheating i guess the o2 sensor is clogged so iam assuming it has to be replaced.if so were can i get one from.

actually you are better off buying a Bosch generic replacement at any auto parts store.

radically cheaper than Mazda

the o2 sensor won't help your flooding problem.

as icemark said, chevron's techron seems to do the trick. the techron one, not the fuel injector cleaner one. i buy a big bottle and poor it in a tank that's at least half full. big bottle is 20 oz i think. i have also heard that redline's fuel injector cleaner is good, though i don't have any experience with it. besides these two i can't say i've heard good things about any other brands.

for your flooding, if you hold the gas pedal on the floor, it cuts fuel so you can start your car.

btw, one problem that may be experieced where people say fuel injector cleaner made their problem worse could be caused by the cleaner breaking free large deposits which then get stuck in the injectors.

HAs anyone used that BG 44k stuff. Ive used it on other cars with real good success. Any reason to believe that it won't work on my FC?
