i have experienced a similiar problem a while ago with one of my cars. i think it was due to a bad alternator or too low of voltage in the battery. it seemed like anytime i left the radio on with the car off or something similar after a high voltage drain on the system i experienced what could only be described as a fuel cut type experience. i replaced battery, added 8 gauge additional ground wires from my battery to the body (stud on fender well right by battery) then to coil pack mounts, over the intercooler bracket near alternator, then over to upper intake manifold studs and finally to factory ground spot on firewall near upper intake manifold. never experienced it again. unfortunately our power systems and wiring on these cars are mediocre at best. we really need like 120 amp alternators.

alright....so i was driving on the highway today, and i was driving around 3.3 k in 5th, at little throttle...as i pressed the gas pedal just a little bit the car started to accelerate, however, when i press it another inch or so it starts to bog, and sputter. at the same time, the boost gauge started to spool but then stops. the afr gauge still reads normal cruizing ratio as this is happening. after the bogging i will let off just a bit, to around 3k and then it allows me to spool the turbo past the 3.5-3.8k mark. the reason i think i might not be related to the injectors ( i think) is becuase the same thing happens after the 3.5k mark....the same thing happened around 4k. (cruising, accelerated started bogging and jumbling, and wouldnt increase in RPM till i let off the throttle and try again

i tried ground the secondary fuel rail but i heard mixed things about it (keeps injectors open or doesnt do anything at all)

my FPD is in good condition but could that have anything to do with it?

please keep in mind that this problem only started occuring after i added the 720s and r tek 1.7

oh yeah and im not sure if this was related to the initial topic but i thought it might be related..... when im at WOT all through the RPMs the only hesitation that i get in 1st and 2nd is the kick from the 720s turning on...i am also not sure if it should feel more gradual or like a sudden kick back

check the ground strap the is right behind the intake, i think it goes to the bell housing. usually any type of hesitation is due to grounds. check the ground on the pressure sensor, it is the brown wire with the black stripe but there are two of that color so just use a meter to find the right one.

New spark plugs?
New spark plug wires?
TPS set correctly and in spec at WOT?
Overboosting hitting fuel-cut?

the plugs are not so new. bout 5000 miles on em.

magnacore racing wires 5000miles

as far as i know its set correctly at idle...and it runs around 12.5 afr at WOT

since im only running 9psi and i have rtek 1.7 there should be a built in fuel cut defencer. also the problem doesnt seem to be comming from boosting to much

i checked and checked again the diagrams for grounding....and i think i still might be ******* up the ground for the firewall to engine one... i have mine comming from the stock ground to the middle bolt on the UIM. its about 10 or 12 gauge wire.

any one have any other photos of where they have there engine/harness grounded?

If the wide-band is correct, 12.5 is was too lean at 9psi.
Get it down to 11.5 at least...
