need help with install

i am putting an S5 motor tranny, wiring into an 88 gtu(gotta love the 430 rear gear...hehe) and i was wondering if the tranny will hook up to the rear end? thanx in advance

The 88 GTU came with a 4.1 final gear, not a 4.3

so the turbo and the GTU have the same gear ratio?

I also thought the GTU had a 4.30.

did the GTU have the turbo trans. also?

US-spec 1989-1990 "GTUs" only had the 4.30 rear end option from the factory.

yeah... turbos are 4.10 too (i think) and the automatics are 3.90
