Just to put it in perspective, the nice RX-7s on this forum have about $40,000 to $120,000 in them.
My suggestion would be to either sell your car and buy a Turbo II as a base to start with, or install a TII drivetrain in your current car. Once you do either of the two, then you can simply install a BNR turbo kit and supporting ghetto modifications and easily reach 300-400hp. Granted, it would be laggy and not very efficient, but then again it isn't going to cost the $20K or so required for a nice setup.
Most of them suck more than a hooker trying to score some crack but some of them are ****** quick.... a good 300-400hp... thats why im trying to get around that... I will go with a turbo if its easier but im not sure it would be.
edit: MY GOAL IS 300 BUT 200 OR 250 SET UP PROPERLY WILL MURDER THESE RICERS. I HAVE AN ADVANTAGE BECAUSE THE COURSE HAS 6 TURNS IN IT.
