NEED HELP! Alternator Seized!
Just finished doing the grounding/charging rewire from rotaryresurrection.com, tried to start the car, but it was acting like it was flooded. It finally cranked up and the alternator seized up, literally cooked the belt off. Everything is wired correctly, what the **** happened?

It would be akin to shorting the battery's terminals together...In other words, a nice big juicy 500 amp flow, with no load. Enough to fry any alt, hypothetically speaking...
See if any of the alt's mounting bolts/nuts have welded themselves to the brackets...
Scary to think what may have happened to the electronics on the car...

The alt is its own battery when turning, it doesn't care if the battery is connected or not. This is all conjecture at this point, you need to perform a good visual inspection of all of the wiring you did, and if the alt doesn't turn by hand, replace it as well...

There's only one on the NAs, don't know about the turbos. It still amazes me that you could tighten the hardware so much that it crimps something inside and locks it up, especially if all of the hardware is there. Learn something new every day, lol...
Well, I'm glad you didn't fry anything, anyway
