need advice and help

ok ive been reading and alot of people have said that jdm engines need to be rebuild when bought so i was wondering if any one has a good site to buy an 13bt s4 engine us or japan that is guaranteed to be a swap and start i would appreciate o and if it would help i have just a lil over $2000 budget so i would like help deciding thanks

Buying a jdm engine can be a lottery, if you buy one that has been removed from a running car and have a comp test done you will be fine.

Yeah just ask around really. That is your best bet, talk to people that have done swaps and what not. That is really it.

i just really dont know any one in my area that has an rx7 or knows where to get the engine i mean i would buy it off some one here it would be alot better then the net but o well could any one recommend a website to go to to purchase one

Mazda sells remans too. Those are also a gamble. One way that'd work would be to buy engine or re-use yours, pay $3k for rebuild. Dunno what else.

your best bet is to find a local reputable shop....
and compression test it in there shop...
and talk with them in person about the warentee.
and have a written warentee.. t

hat way if something does go wrong u can take them to court easily... or sort it out in person.

or at the very least you know whos shop to burn down...
