I found this piece broken on my motor.....the sawpp into the GTUs will happen Saturday and I want to know how important this is.....

How about some decent photos...

It looks like you're indicating the air control valve. Unless you need a functioning emissions control system, it can be removed and blocked off.

It looks like the ACV to me also.
