NA & TII tranny

i just replaced my clutch and put in a aluminum flywheel, spent a pretty penny on those items, now i am looking into either rebuilding my tranny or purchusing a TII tranny i know the TII tranny will not work with my flywheel, is there anyway to use the NA bellhousing on the TII gearbox in order to save my 500 dollar fly wheel purchus or should i just rebuild my NA tranny and if i do go that route is there any way to beef it up?

My car has the smaller-diameter NA flywheel and a TII transmission. A good machine shop can perform this conversion, but it would probably cost quite a bit. The NA clutch has the wrong spline for a TII transmission, so you would still need to replace the clutch for this to work.

How would you remove the NA bellhousing?

A good race shop can beef up the NA transmission. Keep in mind that they usually remove the synchros, so make sure to tell them to keep the synchros if you still want them.

ok so ill stay with the NA tranny, i wasnt sure how to remove the bell housing ive just seen some for sale the bell housing only so i figured it would come off and when i did my clutch it seem like the housing was held on by several bolts,

what would be some effects of having no synchros? i am not really looking for an all out machine its a daily driver, just would like to get it at its maximum for street use..

assuming corning isnt 60 billion miles north of buffalo.

Just buy a Used N/A trans..they are Cheap.(like 100 bucks) and that will save you Tons of Granola..Then Find a TII clutch set up and a TII trans,Sell your N/a Clutch setup and Tada!..done..you may even make a buck or two...as far as beefing it up,Look int othe Miata gear setup..Replacing the Internals with Miata gears. You have to Redo the Input shaft,But the gearing is supposedly Better ..For track.

As Evil eluded to, the bellhousing is cast to the rest of the trans as one piece.
