Small two socket plug goes to the air temp sensor on the dynamic chamber. I *think* this being broken will make the ECU go to some default mode for the sensors input. Might run a little richer, but I doubt you would notice it on your best day. But then again I'm guessing about what happens if its disconnected.
Actually the fsm says the wires should be green and the other black. Green....blue....look the same after ten plus years.

Ok. I was wrong the first time. It is without a doubt the AIR BYPASS SOLENOID VALVE. Its used at the beginning of the day on cold starts. On start up it will help the bac cause the rpms to go to 3000 for 17 seconds. Thats it. No other cause for being there. If it does not work, the cold start will still be for 17 seconds but only to approx 2600rpms instead of 3000rpm.
Do something else with your money than spend money on another. At least until you hit the lottery. Yes one blue wire and one black. Just looked at my 87N/A.
