my water pump/thermostat housing is all messed up,

Just kidding, I just wanted your attention.

So,my water pump/thermostat housing is all messed up, like 4 holes are stripped and the gasket is fried. So I need a new one. Question is, are the S4 housings the same as the S5 ones, I have a non running S4 and I could take it off it. Thanks.

if i remember correctly the S5 housing will hit the timing cover on an S4 engine so you would need to replace that as well, you could always simply heli-coil the threads.

and a torque wrench is your friend!

No, the water pump housings are not the same.
The water pumps are not even swappable.
