I shouldn't have said that its impossible.
You do realize that the higher compression = bigger numbers with little boost right?

No, but you said it's easier to make 500 RWHP on low compression vs high compression when indeed it's probbaly the other way around...

Depends on equipment, a turbo generally makes a little less heat during compression versus an engine (plus you can cool the turbo's down), so there's a point where the two overlap, but it's always succumb to a million variables.

Well, making a high compression motor might take less boost, but it involves being MUCH more careful in tuning. You really have to be careful with higher compression motors and boost, especially with a rotary.

Its not the other way around either, tuning with high compression is harder than with low compression. Yes it takes less boost to get equivelant hp with higher comp rotors, but its far more sensitive to prevent detonation.

Well, I disagree with that to some degree, so long as you're not an idiot, it's pretty similar, there's limits to both, and you just work within those limits, if you know the limits, then it's just as easy, however, if you have no idea of the limits and you're just learning tuning/etc, then you're in trouble! You just have to know where to start and have a timing map that takes that into account, which is the same for a low compression, you can't start off at 30* advance at 15psi and expect it to live, but generally yes, it's harder for people to tune because the detonation factor is a lot closer to what people usually run for timing, so starting from those points usually means trouble.

I got the motor in today, went in pretty easily, now just waiting to order more parts. This project is starting to get very expensive.

Your sanded off (polished?) Mazda 13b emblems on the rotor housings are great! I was thinking of doing that to my engine because I painted it all black, but I decided to take the easy way and let the paint dry.

haha yeah the pics suck its with my camera phone whihc is the easiest to use out of all my cameras. My 1megapixel camera goes through a set of batterys in 2 shots and my 3 megapixel camera takes pictures so freaking big that it takes foreever for me to make them smaller to upload.

I will try to get onegood picture of it today.

Download the image resizer, once you install that, just right click on the image hit re-size picture...bam it'll make a new smaller image.

You've got to have XP of course!

If this is a Summit overflow tank, I had one and it leaked right out of the box. They took it back no problem and sent a replacement ....that ended up leaking too.
I ended up using something different.
