My oil smells like gas...
Hello All,
I just bought my Candy Apple Red 1989 RX7... I dont know much more than it is a plain jane RX7... Well I was just trying to figure out if my oil should have a gas smell to it... I know in a piston engine it shouldn't... I used the compression "PSST" test in the FAQ section and it sounds great... It also runs great... I get an intermitent "check engine" light from time to time and it does that thing sometimes, where I start it and it dies almost immediately... I give it some gas and it is happy from that point on though... So I have rambled long enough... Any help would be great...

Just an update... I am very happy to announce that I checked my oil last night after driving it about 500 miles since the last oil change... I was about halfway between the safe marks... This made my day since it is not going up... She runs great... Thanks yall for the help and advice...
