My new baby - 90 GXL

Hey guys, I have posted once before on this, but this time I have pics, and am gonna update on whats been done. I picked it up for $1600 up in seattle. Had a burt clutch, and $400 worth of body damage on the rear passenger side. It happened when it was being test drive. The price was origanlly $3500. So I think I came out alright there It has 110k on it, and was bone stock when I bought it. I picked up a cheap used cone filter for now, its an injen... Me and my best friend Thrasher, changed out the clutch, and also did the following. Took off all emissions including 6 ports, removed power steering and a/c, wired the vdi open, tb mod, bored out the tb. Our next project is a cold air box.

Here are some pictures..

Thumbs up

Very nice car! I think you got a pretty good deal on it.
I like what you have done already for performance (ripping all that crap out) - that's exactly what I would have done!

my neighbor has that exact same car in his garage (w/ spoiler). Its in AWESOME shape, has been in his garage for 5 years now with a blown engine, and he wont sell it. What pisses me off is he is NEVER going to fix it. Id love to make a daily driver out of it!

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. I took the spoiler off because it was broken on the passenger side due to the accident. So I figured it would look better without. I have had tons of fun with it so far.

I haven't met my match yet, but Im sure its commin. I have beat a Mark III Turbo Supra, a Maxima, and a Grand Prix. The most dominant win was against the maxima. Gettin onto the freeway, took it up to 130, and he was a good 10 car lengths behing. Cant get any rice to go yet...

Not drivin her right now cause I have to get insurance, but no worries, she's still getting started every day

What year was the Maxima? 10 car lengths on most Maximas is more than an NA can handle...Same goes for the turbo Supra.

I don't know anything about Supras. But Maximas aren't a joke. Even the older ones are pretty quick. Im pretty shocked you would have owned a Maxima that bad. But good kills anyway.

Those are 15" S5 GXL alloys. They also came on the trim level one lower in Canada, but I can't recall what it was called. I think just GX, probably different in the States though. The SE's had stamped steel.

Strange now that I think of it, the Rx-7 no matter the year, has never once come from the factory with wheel covers. Even more bizarre considering the Japanese love affair with these things through the 80's.
