5 inch tip? That is way over kill. Mine is a N1, which I beleive is a 3inch outlet, and it is loud as hell with my header and presilencer. No need for anything over 3 inch tip....Unless you drive a Honduh

Take a look at the Powertech PT1010. It's a
cannister style muffler that has a 4.5 inch tip. It's not
sound overkill, they look great, and their fairly inexpensive. Slater

Will a 4.5 inch tip even fit in the stock cutouts?

Dobut it. My N1 crowds it pretty closely. Sorry, anything over 3 inches is too big and IMO is ricer.

4.5 inch fits fine. My 86 rex has dual PT1010 powertech mufflers and there is plenty of room. Once I get my pictures back I'll post them so you can see what I'm talking about. Slater

4.5 mufflers fit in the hole exactly thats why i said that size and also it will not sound like a fart can the bigger size helps it to not "fart" also as long as it has a tip that is non resonated and just stainless steel it wont sound like a buzzing bee unless you have a header. thats a whole diff story. - Still no thoughts on the muffler i have in mind?

I think that you should get a big resonator like the Kudzu rice mobile:

BTW, the N1 is a bit loud for an NA if you don't have a presilencer, but to each his own.

The TII doesn't need mufflers. If you want to save some money, just run the stock cat and straight pipes.

Just adding mufflers will deepen the sound, but removing the cats really let loose the weed whacking fury!! Nothung sounds like an uncorked rotary at WOT. Everyone just stares as I zoom by, shooting flames on shifts

Its different on a turbo car you can have a down pipe and two mufflers and it will sound deeper than barry white you dont have to worry about it being a weed wacker sound Its so sweet. As for an NA it sounds like *** when you have a header-striaghtpipe and no silencer or "cherry bomb" appication for your cat replacement It buzzes more than hondas but its a deep buzz not like the high pitched hondas.
BTW I plan to go straight pipe from manifold and resonator/silencer to one muffler-apexi dunk. - Gabe Medo

The Dunk will look good, and your setup will have a nice tone to it. I still love my weed whacker though
