Mounting gauges

thinking to get some gauges (water temp, oil temp etc) and before doing that i want to gather some ideas for mounting locations / method from you guys.

Pillar mount seems to be my choice but i looked through autometer.com and they dont offer pillar pod mount for FC. so if i were to do pillar mount do i need to custom make the pod or what other company / place can i get one from?

any input is welcome
thanks!

Here are some of the pics that I found when I was looking...there are the obvious pillar mounts, radio bezel mounts but I prefer this style...in fact I bought the one with the 3 gauges...run a search I posted pics of it last week...also there is a mounting bezel on ebay that replaces the two center vents above the a/c controls (it's really cheap).

Also SpeedMachineperformance.com has a couple of carbon fiber options that are cool looking.

If I remember right there is a group buy for a crown cover that mounts 2 gauges just to the right of crown (in between it and the idiot lights)...

Run a search for gauges and there will be a lot come up...

EDIT*** The one that I got was from 5one5 Innovations...They are great quality, I would recommend them to anyone!!! Do a search for 5one5 and you'll get em.

Gauge pods are available from rx7store.net, corksport, rotary performance, and speed machine performance.

There are also options available from forum members, such as pod holders that go in the stereo location. I have this metal bracket in my FC. There are also decorative laser cut plates.

R33, check your PM's. Since we are not that far from each other I can show you the 5one5 pods in person. I can't say enough about the build quality of this pod. I have let numerous people stand on it and it hasn't even scratched. In fact, you are more than welcome to stand/walk on the pod I have. I'm not worried about it cracking or breaking. Hell, it won't even scratch the gel coat on the pod.

Hey BOOSTED,

I'd like to check out the clusters youve got. I'd like to see both the A-Arm cluster and the idiot cluster gauges if you have em.

THanks

I don't have an a-pillar pod because the owner of 5one5 and myself both hate the way they look and the fact that they are in the way. However, I do have a pod that replaces the driver's door vent. It can hold either a 52mm or 60mm pod. I'll throw some pics in here, but if you want better pictures then just PM me with your email address and I'll have pictures emailed to you before the end of today.
