Motor locked up solid?

So my car loses compresion on the rear rotor. My buddy says I can clean the carbon off and free up the seals. SO I pour alot of ATF into both rotors, spin it pour some more. I let it soak all day while my battery charges.

It starts right back up, idles at 1500rpm like it should. My nieghbors start complaining so I shut it down before it burned all of it off.

A few minutes later I come back. It cranks for 2 seconds then everyhting dims, motor is locked up solid. So how do I fix this guys? Its sitting in my street, in 48hours my nieghbors will call the cops, 2 days later it will be towed.

can you rotate the E-shaft pully by hand? your starter motor or starter motor relay may of crapped out on you. Is your Battery charged enough to crank the car over? -alex

The battery has a full charge. I know everything works, all the lights dim so the starter is getting power but not turning.

Do this, and kiss it good bye (the engine that is)!

As it is, you might need a rebuild, push start it, and you will need a rebuild + a rotor + rotor housing

That was the plan, but first I need to get it unstuck! I can't push it off teh street into my alley, its a 30degree gravel slope to get into my alley. I have my eye on a nice T2 anyways.

Do a search for "carbon lock". While I doubt this is what you are experiencing, it will explain anything without having to rely on the (useless) replies above. The only one who gave any real info was KNONFS, the rest were just port whoring...In fact, I will delete them...

Thanks very much for a serious reply, as youc an tell I have no expirience with these cars. What would cause it to lock up? Carbon or a piece of the apex seal in between the rotor and housing? I wonder If I can push the car forward and put it in reverse to try and dislodge the piece.

From an experienced eye, your engine is screwed. Plan on pushing/pulling it wherever you want it. You'll need a used engine or a full rebuild to the one you have. Whether or not it was locked up, when it first blew apex seals (and it did to get zero compression, whether or not you want to admit it) the damage was done to the rotor and housing and you will now need replacements during the rebuild. This is not really a big deal, replacements for s4 NA engines are cheap.

Let me know if you need an engine.

I would but I found a running T2 for $1,800, clean body, no dings, stickers, or nything. Burns a little coolant, but who cares.
