More than just a blown apex seal (pics!)

Well as I mentioned before I assumed I blew a apex seal which I did. And it was the rear rotor. Well when I opened the rear housing it was worse than I suspected. pics








it's soo empty....

Thats some good damage.

Looks like the apex seal blew then fell into the port and got pinched by the rotor as it was closing the port.

you gonna try ceramics? Might be worth the money. Make a rotor clock.

How much do ceramics go for? and where to get?

pics of the rear stationary gear...... i must see if its worse than mine, my #2 rotor and housing looked very similer, but my stat gear was almost half cog-less

interesting pics. it does look like an apex seal chunked off a bit of itself. what are your plans as far as the rebuild is concerned?

^umm I think i'm going to buy another housing and rotor but if its too much I might find a 13b and do a swap. But unsure right now

I believe the seals are $1700 for the gray material you have to PM him though. He's making corner seals too. It's a good, LONG, read.

you get what you pay for. Who better to test the longevity of these seals under normal (non racing conditions)? 200K miles might not seems like that big a deal, who knows. It's your money.
