To raise the usable powerband significantly and remain streetable look at a large streetport. A mild port has made a huge difference on my T2, I wish I would have gone larger though.

I believe a stock NA 13B makes peak hp at 6500rpm. If you want to bump up your powerband, put on a complete exhaust. I noticed power building all the way until about 7200rpm when I added a header, presilencer, and catback. If you want to drastically shift your powerband, port your engine.

Don't know what your talking about. My car idles ands runs as smooth as stock. I would trade a smooth idle for a larger steet port.

I spose the quality of porting would help too. Like if its all burred and jagged amatuer ****, it would probably run worse than a professionaly done port.
Does a streetport increase the powerband above the stock redline at all?
I've looked at streetporting picture and I cannot see a big difference over stock.
