YOu won't be making any more horsepower above the stock redline on stock ports.

To get more usable HP you need at least a full bridge or P-Port and those aren't Minor mods they require a full engine rebuild, and for the P-Port extensive engine work.

To raise the usable powerband significantly and remain streetable look at a large streetport. A mild port has made a huge difference on my T2, I wish I would have gone larger though.

I believe a stock NA 13B makes peak hp at 6500rpm. If you want to bump up your powerband, put on a complete exhaust. I noticed power building all the way until about 7200rpm when I added a header, presilencer, and catback. If you want to drastically shift your powerband, port your engine.

Don't know what your talking about. My car idles ands runs as smooth as stock. I would trade a smooth idle for a larger steet port.

It does now with a 'mild' port. I see a lot of people overport their engines and they run like absolute ***.

I spose the quality of porting would help too. Like if its all burred and jagged amatuer ****, it would probably run worse than a professionaly done port.

Does a streetport increase the powerband above the stock redline at all?
I've looked at streetporting picture and I cannot see a big difference over stock.

On the dyno, my stock '91 N/A's peak horsepower and torque was right around 6900 RPM.

focus on the secondaries, overporting the primaries and expecting good idle quality is ignorant.
