I say get a good suspention setup, an upgraded hybrid turbo, the supporting mods, exhaust, and a rebuild. If the motor is still strong, go with what prjct87 said, plus the suspention.

i already got tires and rims and upgraded suspension. i just am not a motor genius especially when it comes to a rotary so im was not sure what i could do with the motor or what i could add to it. and i know i may sound stupid but what exactly is haltech? oh yeah i got dual greddy racin exhaust; but would i be better off runniing a single?

I would sugget you find a local shop to guide yourself along. As you will see on here if you don't know how to do things the right way you can lose an engine pretty easily. Sounds like you could use a FMIC,fuel mods, and a standalone ECU then( like a haltech).

Before you can actually get anything, you should decide exactly what type of Rx7 you're looking to build.

For $5k there are many different directions you could go. Are you looking for "go fast in a straight line"? Or, "be able to go around a track quickly"? Or, an "overall streetably fast car"...?

Like already mentioned, there any many "little" mods that you will have to buy to do the major power upgrades.

I don't think anyone can tell you what to spend $5k on... You'll have to do some research and come up with it yourself. Just don't get carried away. If you start throwing stuff on your Turbo II without knowing anything about these cars, it's likely you'll end up destroying it and being very disappointed.

Check out fc3spro.com and browse around a little. There is a section that tells you what your "mod" list should look like for a specific power-level IIRC.

You'll want to check out the "from mild to wild" piece in the "tech section".
