Yeah I heard it works, but don't do it they made a turbo II and a n/a tranny for a reason, I have a 87TII and my tranny started going out and found a S5TII tranny that works perfect for less than 150.00 on ebay, keep searching go visit junk yards ect. you may have to drive a little outwards

Yeah I have no experience doing this, but I read before you need a na clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, starter, because the people that did turbo trannies on a na engine had to get a turbo flywheel, starter ect. and maybe some other parts try a search as to some one thats done it

sure you could do it, but its a waste. the NA tranny wont hold up too well...you gotta change flywheel clutch disk/pressure plate, driveshafts. clutch master cylnder if i remember correctly, starter. a lot of stuff...enough that its not worth it. also a special tool for the flywheel bolt, cause its fucken big.

and in the end you wont be happy with what you get, cause the tranny wont last as long, and you had to spend as much money on replacing all of the parts that you mine as well had have just gotten a t2 tranny. The S4 tii trannies are nearly the same price as a S4 NA tranny. now if you have the extra money go buy a s5 t2 tranny...but those are a little harder to find.

search theres a good bit of info about this. look up threads on my name. i asked a similar question, just backwards, NA to T2 and i got ALL of the info that i needed.

No, don't recommend it.
In a very short while, you're going to have a dead NA trans to go with your bad original one.
If you can't fix it, dump the car.
