Sounds neat. Where did they put it, where the AC or power steering pump is?
I personally don't see a gain for the relocation, other than having a cleaner looking intake setup or something.

I dont see how moving it , would make it slip, it has the same amount of belt on it ???. The only reason I want to move it is to get it out of the way and show off the engine more . Im putting a 3rd gen intake on my 2nd gen turbo ???
Thanks

Um, moving the alternator to the side of the engine completely eliminates the need for a double sheave alt pulley and running dual belts.
The belt slippage problem is not with the belt slipping on the E-shaft pulley, it's the belt slipping on the water pump pulley (especially with a mechanical fan bolted to it). With the alternator on the side the belt wraps around the water pump pulley more than doubling the contact area. The stock setup you can grab the water pump pulley and turn it with your hand the belt contact is so poor. With the setup like I have, I cannot turn the water pump pulley freely without moving everything else, I have no belt slippage issues revving to 9k, one belt.
I needed to move the alternator out of the way because it interfered with my FPR and intake, with it on the side it simplifies things for me quite a bit.
The bracket was easy to make, it is the AC/PS bracket cut down to just a flat bracket with the piece from the water pump housing that the alt normally bolts to cut from the housing and TIG welded to the plate. Then theres just a simple ear welded to the top for the adjustment bracket to bolt to.
