Metal or plastic water pump arm?
Ok, I was just wondering if both of these could be from an S5 or if one is a s5 and the other is s4? I got two arms for the waterpump, the part that holds the thermostat in the pump. it is the part that is black in the top left hand corner of the pic.
I got one that looks like the one in the pic, it is black and plastic. I also have one that is metal and looks like it has a place for the radiator car on the top of it. Anyone have any idea where the metal one came from? Would it be better to put that one on?

The metal radiator neck is from the '86-88 cars. It's of course much more durable, but attaches with 2 bolts instead of 3. You need the whole '86-88 water pump housing to use it.
If you've got a new plastic neck, it will hold up for a good 100,000+ miles.

The metal one has a thermometer built into it correct? well at least it looks like this one does... I heard they are better than the stock s5 ones. It was recomended to be to put the s4 thermometer with the s5 gauge for the most accurate tempature readings, this correct?
