Mazdatrix ABS eliminator ?'s

As no suprise my 89 TII drinks the brake fluid because the unit is going out. So i ordered the elimination kit from mazdatrix, and now im kinda stumped. I looked at the instructions and im not really sure where to go from there. They are about as clear as mud, to me at least. Am i going to have to remove the whole unit, or does it just hook into a line somewhere? Thanks

Unbolt the entire unit, and then continue from there!

I just did this about a month ago, if you sit down and really pay attention to the directions, it all makes sense. You have to follow a lot of the lines from the driver side of the engine bay to the passenger side. It will all make sense in the end!

The frequency at which the ABS isn't high enough for it to be the incredibly valuable tool it can sometimes be on more current ABS.

I removed mine not because it was drinking fluid, but because it was a hazard at it's current age. I had a small fender bender directly due to this system ******* up. I used the mazdatrix ABS eliminator and my brake performance changed dramatically. This comes with a qualifying statement though because I also replaced pads, rotors and rebuilt my calipers at the same time.

My complaint with the Mazdatrix eliminator: The rubber hose that comes with it. Everything else on my system is stainless steel so this hose is a source of a lot of flex for me.

yea i sat and read the directions about three times....then it finally made sense
your gonna have to bend the lines a little bit to make the correct angles to fit into that little block
and i also agree that they should at least put a stainless braided line instead of a crappy rubber one.....i actually think the website says it supposed to be a stainless line but it isnt

defnitly like the feel of the brakes without the abs pump there...can actually feel the road and the response of the brakes
plus i enjoy actually being able to work on my engine/turbo without that heavy *** pump in the way

I don't think it would be hard to put in an SS line there..I'm going to look into it when I do stainless lines at the wheels.

while the mazdatrix piece is great all they did was piece together a standard brake line and the T fitting which is used at the rear of the car to split the lines that go to the two rear calipers.....

i actually looked into doing it for my car because i dont really care for the way the mazdatrix kit looks with the block just kinda hanging out over top of the turbo with the rubber line just sitting there as well....but you can get replacement hard brake lines for a non ABS Rx7 from mazda for about 100 bucks total....you only need the three front lines
