Max Lateral G's
of an FC? anyone have any idea? i searched...what did we get on the skidpad? FD's get 0.98, and FB's get 0.87...im guessing we are somewhere in between...anyone have actualy numbers?

This is what I found so far....but it was from a Savanna II
This was the way the RX-7 would go, Mazda said demonstrating its 0-60 time at 7 sec and a quarter mile in 14.9 sec, not to mention stopping from 60 in just 141 ft and a completely neutral stance while achieving 0.91 g on the skidpad.

The 7 sec 0-60 and 14.9 was for the S4 T2's I believe...if I remember correctly the S5 cracked like a 6.5 0-60 and like mid to high 1/4 mile times...slight difference i know...but i just feel like being trivial...LOL

Those numbers are useless.
Put on a set of good tires, and you're up to 0.9x.
Put on a set of race rubber, and it'll do 1.0+ no problem.
Who's on their original set of tires???

i pull .99 on the road with agx and ground control with poly swaybar bushings front and rear. delrin subframe bushings on the subframe in the rear stock front stuff. running fuzion Zri tires no dtss

gxlbiscuit, not that .99 is impossible, but how is that measured, with a Gtech?
Just like the normal 1/4 mile and 0-60 acceleration tests, the lateral acceleration tests varied by who did the testing, where they did it and the conditions. Lateral acceleration tends to be VERY dependant on the pavement and the tires. Typical numbers were somewhere around .86-.89Gs. I've seen some as low as .81gs and some as high as .91gs. Keep in mind that I've also seen one with a GSL-SE that did over .90gs. Throw on some modern tires and is stands to reason that you can get into the mid .9xGs or better.
Lateral acceleration is also limited in what it tells you about a vehicle. It's really a static test that measures how the car performs doing one particular type of corner without any change. What's also important is the dynamic responses of the car. How does it perform with some bumps or a different radius corner, changing radius corner or the weight transfering around as the car goes into and through a corner and different kinds of corners?
