around 270fwhp with a peripheral port was stated on another section of this forum. So that is a bit over 200hp at the rubber if you have the cash for a new engine in a couple of months. Realistically around 170-200 is what is usually seen.

streetability depends on the individual not the mods. If you mean legally with emmissions and all that. I would say no more than 180

Here is the formula:

Fast - Cheap - Reliable ...

Pick only two.

The cheap approach (not big HP, but reliable):
Free breathing intake (cold box & ram air)
Free breathing exhaust (headers back)
Will keep up with a stock turbo (185-200hp)

It has been done by some of the forum members.
It's mostly a DIY deal - & a small money pit.

There used to be a Nelson/Paxton blower kit, but it's not produced any more.

I'm looking to just buy a cheap Turbo.

Well then you shoud concern yourself with keeping the N/a on the road and not making it more likely to break down.

Save your money for the TII so you can slap on some more fuel, exhaust, turbo, FMIC and you won't know what hit you.

If you already have a money pit (Er, turbo), then keep the NA pretty well stock. There's no harm in going with freeflowing intake and exhaust, but leave the internals alone. Then you'll still have a fun car to drive when the TII's in pieces in your garage. You'll also have the boatload of money you would have spent making the NA pretty fast to add to another boatload of money to make the TII eyeball-bleeding fast.

Do a search for the post "how to make a beefy NA". Lots of info available. All this has been covered again and again since the beginning of time.
