Making Hp in a NA
How much HP can a Non-turbo Rx7 make.
depends
stock motor with all the bolt ons or ported or just max power you can get.
around 270fwhp with a peripheral port was stated on another section of this forum. So that is a bit over 200hp at the rubber if you have the cash for a new engine in a couple of months. Realistically around 170-200 is what is usually seen.
The max you can get?
And the max street-able HP |
streetability depends on the individual not the mods. If you mean legally with emmissions and all that. I would say no more than 180
Here is the formula:
Fast - Cheap - Reliable ... Pick only two. The cheap approach (not big HP, but reliable): Free breathing intake (cold box & ram air) Free breathing exhaust (headers back) Will keep up with a stock turbo (185-200hp) |
Are there turbo kit for the Na
no
That sucks. do they make large power adder for the Na
suercharger kit or a Nitrous system.

Found that peri port thread. :D BTW: Why do you want more power if you have a TII also? |
The TII needs work. The Na is the only running car
Well then you shoud concern yourself with keeping the N/a on the road and not making it more likely to break down.
Save your money for the TII so you can slap on some more fuel, exhaust, turbo, FMIC and you won't know what hit you. |
Now that we are on the subject of Turbo II. How much HP can Turbo II make . Streetable and the Max
refer to sureshot's post.
Its all in how much money you have. |

There's no harm in going with freeflowing intake and exhaust, but leave the internals alone. Then you'll still have a fun car to drive when the TII's in pieces in your garage. You'll also have the boatload of money you would have spent making the NA pretty fast to add to another boatload of money to make the TII eyeball-bleeding fast. :D |
