Major Electrical Issues!!
Ok, heres the deal. I bought this T2 yesterday, and I want it started . I know the engine is good, all parts, turbo has no play, etc.
I put in a new, fully charged battery, and new main fuse. I attatch the postive terminal, then the negative, and they both spark for a sec just a little, then stop. I get idiot lights, and the SECURITY panel lights up. An annoying little "beep, beep" sound drones on and on. I can get courtesy lights, and dash(tach) lights.
I get no headlights, no turn signals, no hazard lights, etc. No wipers, no rear wiper. Try to crank, all power shuts down. Everything goes out. Stop, things go back to (idiot cluster+security light) normal. Please..help

Are you sure you hooked the battery cables up right? The one closest to the little black fusebox should be the + side. Check and make sure all the fuses under the hood are good. Also, check the MAIN relay. It is located between the drivers side strut tower and the firewall.

MAIN relay..as in my "Coil with Ignitor" ? That and the Brake Booster are the only things between my firewall and strut tower. HAILERS, Icemark, are you guys out there? :\

no, right next to the coil with ignitor there should be a square metal box with a wire harness attached to it. Thats your main relay. I believe it is screwed into the fender between the coil and firewall.

Going to bed, school tomorrow, but, how do I "check" the main relay? I'll be doing that tomorrow nonetheless. Anymore input from anyone and everyone is very appreciated..thanks..

all power shuting down on crank suggests either bad battery, loose battery connections, or a bad ignition switch.
Are the fuses all good??? it sounds like several are blown

Icemark you might have to correct me on this but could it be the starter selnoid shorted out. I know thats what they told me in the 1st gen section for my 1st. This being a second gen who knows, just trying to help.

I want a deffinite fix for this. I have a brand new battery, terminals secured onto it, and all fuses under the hood were checked. Should I buy + replace all switches under the driver side dash, to ensure that it fixes my problem?
You also mentions ignition switch. Is that something similar to say, wiper/turn signal switch? If so, I guess I should replace that also? I want this beast to run :O

The fuse box diagram is also layed out the same as in the kick panel. For example as in the diagram the Turn fuse is found between the power window and meter fuses just like in the car

Part Replacement Diagnostics is a very expensive way to fix a car and normally limited to car dealer mechanics
