lt8s vs e6k Help

I been looking around for a haltech e6k, because I know a few people running it, plus the program looks friendly, although I have never seen the microtech program. My question, Would you guys recommend the lt8 over the e6k or vice versa? What are the pros/cons to the two ems. A couple of things that I have read about is that the lt8 has a windows based software, and the haltech has the older type yet pretty straight forward software. Also that the lt8 has a two step/antilag feature which I dont know if the e6k has.. Is there maps readily available for the lt8 as the haltech has the hitman site?

I would plan on who is going to help you tune it first. That's more important than which ecu you get. I would want some one who knows what they are doing to do the initial tune and teach me what to do vs: learn by trial and error.

OK... Hitmans maps are redardedly rich.... He does this to keep you from blowing up your car and blaming him.. His timing is also a bit retarded.. again, to keep you from blowing your motor and blaming him (timing is like stealth technology to rotary tuners anyway...)

SO.... Unless you know someone with a wideband.. better plan on getting an innovate LM-1 while you are at it.....

Also.. There are advantages to both systems... I'm starting to come around to the Microtech. even though I own a Haltech...

If you buy a microtech... the will load a base map in it for you before you get it!!!

Haltech seems to be on a little bit of shakey ground lately....... But i still like the e6k a lot...

Also.. the lt-8 only has 1 aux out i believe.... the Haltech has 4.. right now, i only use 2 but thats one more than the microtech!!!!

Hmm.. Exactly HOW conservative are the Hitman maps for timing?

I've seen maps set at 33 at 0 psi and 15 at 15 psi on a car that dynoed 475hp.. hitmans are 28 and 8, respectively..... (this was with a Greedy big assed FMIC and a gt35r turbo running 100 octane..) So there is some room to bump it up.. if your that brave.. but... I'd much rather let someone who knows what the hell they are doing monkey with the timing....

Now... being that I haven't tuned my car quite right yet, (zkeller sold the Autronic widband and I'm waiting on my Innovate lm-1 to get here)... I've left the hitmans timing curves alone (well... except for the idle section where i've monkeyed with the advance and trailing split..)

Also... If you don't have a good intercooler.. I wouldn't mess around with the timing!!

the lt8 has 2 outlets I think, but the lt10 has a few more and its only like 50 more than the lt10, which I might buy. I just wanted to see if there was the support out there like there is for haltech.
