lsd front seal??

lsd front seal??

i have to replace the front seal on my fc lsd
anyone know how to do that???

or what i should do?

Did mine this weekend, cost about $11 at the dealer for the seal. Remove the 27mm nut, pull off the washer and the flange. The FSM wants you to open up the casing and use a press to get it out but you dont need to do that. You could use a puller or do what I did, I CAREFULLY pryed out one edge until I could pull it out with some pliers. Then to place the new one in, I lined up the new seal then used the old seal on top of it before tapping it in with a hammer. Return the flange, washer and nut and youre set after torqing it down.

The Pinion Flange seal? You will need to get a new seal, crush sleeve. After you replace the seal you will have to reset the pinion depth and check for proper pattern, failure to properly set it CAN lead to whining, noisey operation and Failure!. Download the FSM section and do your research and perform an honest assesment if it is something you want to tackle
