Low Power Steering Mount?

Hello all, I am looking for information on adapting the 1st gen power steering bracket for use with our 2nd gen engines, specifically the S5 13BT. I will not be keeping A/C with my setup and would like to mount the power steering lower.

Yes I am aware that there is a bracket sold by B2A for this exact purpose, but it designed from the OEM 1st gen part.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
EMNI

I did it on one of my cars with the stock mount..
I eyeballed it up and drilled a couple holes..used that big stud to hold the bracket on.
Worked good..I lowered it about 2 inches at least, although I had to use a couple washers to make up room between the bracket and the engine it lined up good and never had belt wear at all.

I did basically the same thing in the https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...ite-up-664495/ thread 4 or 5 years ago on my vert with the GSL-SE steering bracket. My vert has the 2 line power steering setup and not the more common 3 line, so I had less clearancing issues to make the pump fit. It is however the same bracket you would use, so the pump would sit at the same height.

It went from this

Hey guys,

Very interested in doing this as well. Kind of hard to see by the pics but from how the stock lines look from the top of the engine it looks like mounting power steering low like this would make it a lot easier to get to all of the spark plugs. True? Not True?

I was thinking about snagging one of B2A units.
