Low po0wer in top gear?

I have a 91 'vert with and auto. It runs around town just fine and was cruising down the highway at 70 no issues at all. I stopped for fuel, got back on the road, then about 45 minutes later it loses power and just won't rev to maintain speed in 4th. Checked the usual - added HEET to the fuel in case of bad gas - and checked the plug wires....nothing! Coolant temps and oil pressure are fine, but the car did briefly throw a check engine light.

Maybe something got into the fuel filter after the refuel? I'm stumped. All ideas welcome!

Pull CEL if possible if you can and haven’t. Was it flashing while driving, if so it could be a major issue.

Tried pulling the CEL with the pins jumped and got no codes. That could be because the light came on but wasn't flashing, so it didn't store anything?
