Louvers

I finally removed the louvers off of my hatch, just wanted to know what everyone thinks.

It sucks without the louvers. You had a very cool looking 7 before.

I LIKE THIS LOOK:

Louvres

I have louvres on my 88 AE.
With a black Interior and A/C not functional I will leave em on.
Keeps the car a lot cooler.
Also entertainment value from people
standing outside the car asking how
you see out of the back window.
Not 100% sold on the look with em on either!
Yours is only the second one I have seen photos of.
Maybe I don't get out enough

Nah, put em back - do you know how much downforce and extra traction you were getting from that thing?
Works just like having about 10 of them ricy wings on the back of the car!

I liked the louvres on my first gen, when the second gen came out with those louvres they reminded me of giant beetles! I think your car looks good either way. You've kept it in a pristine stock condition and the louvres aren't as common as they used to be. It's your choice, but I like all stock looks, including the Giant Beetle from Planet 7!

Louvres

what do you think of these color matched Louvres??
Ace II's 7
It kills some of the nice lines of a 2nd Gen.
But I like something a little unique, and I have only
seen louvres on 1st Gen's around here.(Toronto & Gta).
Any 2nd Gen is a nice one as long as it hasn't been RICED!!
Keep those 2nd Gens rolling

Louvers look very 80's IMO. The only car that I like them on are 240z's and 280z's.

louvers look bad.

If I ever had a car with louvers, that would be the FIRST thing to go.

every car I have seen them on looks worse with the louvers. my dad had an old alfa GTV6 (back in the eighties) and it had louvers, but looked soo much better without them. and I new a girl with a 82 crx with louvers, the people who were working on the car forgot to put them back on and it looked 10 times better (it was still a 82 crx)

but anyway I think any car looks better without louvers.

They came as a factory option. I have only seen one other rex with them still on. The Mazda dealership that I work at can't get them anymore. If anyone wants them .... (doubtful) .... just message me.
