loudest rx7

does anyone have any vids, or audio files of some really loud rx7 exhaust setups? I just want to get an idea of what a racing exhaust will sound like for my car. PS its a 88 GTU, i will have it bridgeported pretty soon....

Open headers is the loudest. I don't think you want to listen to that.

open header is ridiculously loud. we were in a metal pole barn with a stock 12a running a open RB header and i swear to you it shook the walls.

You wouldn't make it into the top 10. Anyone with an N/A PP will generally be louder. There are PP's running around on the street, as well.

Its the loudest I've heard. N/A PP, 25mm inlets, 2500 rpm idle, 14" non-collected open header. Just stupidly loud.

ehhh screw open header.

Open Stock Manifold baby!!! Heheh I sounded like a Nascar when I did that. I didn't even want to bring it over 3k it was so loud, but i did heheheee.

A loud set up would be headers to race pipe to Cork sport exhaust.

My Bonez Superflo and CS single were pretty damn loud. The Bonez got rid of the rasp though so it was a nice deep growl. I could hear my car idling inside my house!

yea that sounds like a good setup. on my old car, a 1985 300zx, i had open headers, and that was pretty damn loud. my dad would hear me leave school sometimes.

My cousin drove his 383-stroker Camaro home from the shop (~1.5 miles) open header. He said he was setting car alarms off it was so loud.

Hell I can set off car alarms. Running rotary open header can wake the neighbors a few miles away...

There was a PP 1st Gen at SevenStock that was louder than anything I've ever heard. Made me nauseous for an hour after they fired it up. Sounded great!

I have a t2, and we all know the turbo quiets it down quite a bit. Welllll.... I put on just my 3" dp one night and decided to go for a drive. I NEVER got above 4000rpm's, and i drove from my house, through a forest, across a freeway, through another forest, past some buildings, then into a costco parking lot, in the back of costco. Again, never did i get over 4k. I came back and my friend kraig said he could hear me really loud when i was at costco, and my mother was pretty ticked off i woke her up too .. she said she heard me at costco also and it woke her up. Which was seriously about a little over a mile away. As for alarms, hell i set off a couple alarms just by starting the car with only a dp.

ya I remember I was leaving my house which is ~2 miles away from the highway, a friend said he heard me get on the highway and heard me for a while on the highway. I live in Missouri where rednecks run open header all the time on their pickup trucks. I got a ticket for excessive exhaust noise..

I am running a Full RB Set - up. header, Pres -silencer and then cat back, and I set off car alarms all the time. Before I got the presilencer it was so frickin' loud that I couldn't get it much up over 4k....
