Lost keys, quickway to start it?

I have a auto 2nd gen from a friend we got it to my house but lost the keys and I'd like to move it again, how could I start it? idk the ignition system but I don't want to damage it so once we get a keymade later on it still works good.

Probably have to get a new igniton cylinder and key. Either that, or collect a whole bunch of FC keys and see if one of them works.

Go down to your local Mazda dealer and get a pair of keys. I forget what you need so bring the registration and title just in case, or call ahead and ask. I think it's $10 or something cheap and it's really quick. Just do that.

You shouldn't need a new cylinder.

I dont mean to doubt you, but would you really want the info necessary to quickly and easily start your car posted publicly for any dumbass to read and try out? I certainly dont, and I dont want to unwittingly assist a car thief either. Im not saying you are one, but its possible

if its really cheap like ericgrau says, then just go to the dealer and get it done. Then go to a hardware store and make a bunch of copies for yourself. Thats the safest way. Just call ahead so you know what to bring.

They might even have the keys right at the dealer. There aren't that many different keys; 1 key opens multiple RX7's. I forget, but it was really quick when I lost my keys... I might have gotten them without ordering.
