a little interior wiring help?
well, ALOT of wiring help
here's my situation.
everything is manual(doors, windows mirrors etc.) i have a manual steering rack, bareblock, and no a/c and no heater(i'll miss the heater ) i will have a radio.
please, forgive my ignorance when it comes to this stuff. is the only thing that needs to be hooked up to the cpu the instrument/gauge panel stuff?
here's a pic. i gotta piece all of this back together. help me get through this with a little mental support. is it easier than it looks. am i over-reacting? i would think it's just a bunch of plugs that need to be put together, but it's so damned hard to get to... even the whole CPU is out of there.

My suggestion is download the 86-88 wiring diagram and start tracing wires......
If its got ABS.... I have a good ABS computer.... but thats about all i can help ya with... jeezus
DAMN.... I hope you didn't pay to much for that HOS
for chrissake it looks like the CAS wire is lying there on the floor....... did they pull the drivers side harness through the firewall and tear it apart?????????

Damn Logan, what a freakin mess. I pulled an S4 harness on both sides the car. Looks like they unwrapped it too. Get a FSM and figure out what you need. The wires and connectors can be identified so you can find out what to keep and what to trash.
Good luck, thats ALOT of time consuming work.

That's what I'd do- yank the **** out and start from scratch. With all of the creature comforts missing from the car, 90% of that mess won't be used anyway.
Get the schematics, go page-by-page, figure out what you're gonna need from the schematics, and go wire by wire for the new instrallations (I like making a copy of the schematic and highlighting the wires as I verify/install them)...
You must have a lot of time on your hands

2. what is that sensor looking thing on the top part of the throttle pedal? is it for the cruize control?
3. what is that "FB05" box for?
4. where in the hell did all that wiring come from in the third pic?
5. if you wanna be a doll and tell me what i can ditch as far as wiring and connectors go, that'd be great.

okay, forget the above questions, i got those down.
couple more questions.
1. in the first pic, are those for my wiper bottle sensors? i won't have the bottle in my SE. or is this for the side marker....
2. in the second pic, the wire that has the screwdriver pointed at it, what is it for? it doesn't have a connector on it. is this for my FTPL?
it's hard to tell where this stuff leads to because of the damage on the vehicle. and about #1, i'm gonna hop into the garage now to see if those wires go to the side marker.

you can see in the second picture the wire that i can't hunt down.
about the third and fourth pic... can i remove all of this wiring? it seems like it's only for the heater/ac units.(again, i have a standalone)
i've downloaded the FSM and it looks like every piece of wiring from behind the dash all the way over to the passenger side is not needed. is this correct?
BTW, i will not be using my idiot lights.

Boosting Again
from pic 3 and 4 all that stuff you dont need since your useing microtech. only thing i kept from over there was 1 of the organge plugs which workd the wipers. also one of those wires is the coolant temp gauge wire. i just didnt reconnect it because i use hand controller for microtech to read water temps.
hope that helps.
