Replacing oil pressure gauge sending unit
I am going to replace my faulty oil pressure gauge sending unit and two bad exhaust gaskets on Sunday. I have removed the original one before, only to find out the one Kragen's special ordered for me was incorrect, so I put my old one back in until I was ready to get a new one.
So, I have one now, from the dealer where I work, but there is no washer pictured with it and there is no washer on my old unit still in the rotor housing. My question is, do I have to apply some type of thread sealer (like that white tape stuff) for good measure? I just want to make sure it does not leak or anything. Thanks.
I'm also replacing a couple of exhaust gaskets this coming weekend as well, so I'll have my exhaust leak fixed! One line to be deleted off my sig.....
