leaky injectors?

i went to start my car, mind u the last time i ran it the trip was about a half an hour so it did warm up enough. so i went to start it, it started then died imediatly. so not knowing what was exactly wrong i tried the unflooding procedure. went back in and it started up and ran fine. now it doesnt do this all the time, but it happened to me twice today and that fixed it both times. could this be from a leaky injector or somethign else?

and if thats what it is what could cause it? i do have a fuel leak that i am working to get fixed. maybe this is part of the problem. thanks for reading.

Leaky injectors do sound probable. If you can find a fuel pressure tester somewhere, rent it or borrow it, hook it up and then run the car for a while to warm it up and then turn it off. Check the pressure when off and then let it sit for 30 minutes and check the pressure again.

Or if you can't do that just pull them and get them cleaned

I had my injectors cleaned before I got my new engine in my car. They sat for about a month or two in a ziploc bag. is it possible for them to get sticky again?

the primaries are under the manifold, and are a bitch to get to.

Ron - Basically what Rotary dude said although if you have taken out your secondaries it is not much more work to get out the primaries. You will need to take off the UIM and then pull some vac lines and fuel rails. I have a how-to on my website and make sure to do it AFTER the pressure is gone!

Nonameo - I doubt thwy will have a problem. They only get sticky from the junk in the gas and get loose from the long use of an old engine.
