Leaking Injectors

So i got a vacuum leak wich im pretty sure is from my injectors on the secondary rail, just too get it straight if im wrong im talking about the rail that runs under/through the uim pipes.

I sprayed starter gas on em when i had the engine running and the rpm shot up too the normal ground map idle. When im looking at the stock injectors, should they have rubber o/rings in both ends or just in the end that sockets into the rail?

there should be a little o-ring at the top and grommet at the bottom... there is also a rubber grommet on the top of the injector that the rail "sits" on

i really wish i could edit my own messages...

I put the UIM and intercooler back together and started it up, it ran fine until a few minutes after when it started too jump on the rpm again, i stopped by the side of the road and sprayed some engine-starter gas towards the sec.rail injector area and the engine responded too it.

What i dont get is: Why doesnt it jump on the rpm all the time and not until a few minutes after if there is a vacuum leak there?

I put 2 o-rings on the bottom of the injector and that didnt help, if there is supposed too be o-rings there should the insulator be placed between them?

those are the defusers that sit down inside the injector holes... yes, they should have their own o-rings

well both the rubber on my injectors and on the secondary rail is leaking now so i guess i gotta fix that, while im in there i gotta take a look at the primary rail as it seems too be the cause too the initial problem

he isn't just talking about the fuel rail... he is talking about the injectors... you can easily have a vacuum leak between the injector and the engine/manifold...

one other thing it could be is a bad lower intake manifold gasket

u mean the gasket between the UIM and LIM? that gasket is brand new, engine is brand new. it doesnt react until i spray the starter spray into and towards the primary fuel rail, and no the rail isnt leaking but there is a major leak on the rubber connecton going down infront of the engine from the secondary rail and also i got fuel guzzling up from the front injector, maybe the rear one aswell, im having a "buddy" come over on monday too have a look and he might be able too help as he has some extensive experience on these engines. i hope that we can fix it then, guess ill just mess around with the new stereo in the meanwhile hehe
